World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June of every year. It was established in 1972 by the UNEP. It is a global platform for public to environment related activities. On this day, many people participate in environmental protection. The people are engaged in planting and cleaning debris around us. The theme for the First World Environment Day in 1973 was “ Only One Earth.”  The theme of 2024 World Environment Day is "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience." On Environment Day, people and different organisations conduct awareness programs and make us aware about overpopulation, global warming, importance of wildlife etc. We should always clean our planet. We shouldn’t pollute the place where we live.
