Before, Nepal was a group of small underdeveloped kingdoms who were all enemies and fought with each other and formed alliances. When young Prithvi Narayan Shah, the crowned prince of the kingdom Gorkha went to the kingdoms Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu, He saw how much more developed those kingdoms were than his homeland Gorkha he wanted to capture those kingdoms and make him his own when he became king. And when he returned to his kingdom always used to think of those beautiful kingdoms.

When he became king of Gorkha at the age of 20 he wanted to capture the kingdoms, but before that could happen he made plans to capture them. His first plan was to make the 3 kingdoms fight with each other until all of them were weak and he would get the win. The second plan was to capture the kingdoms around them to block all resources and trading and attack them from all sides and get the win. So he used both of the plans. But first he needed to get more money because at that time Gorkha was considered a broken kingdom. After he gathered the money, he trained his army, and got more weapons. After he was prepared for battle, he made his first move.

First he attacked Nuwakot, but he failed. In his second attempt he won.just like that he surrounded the valley. After surrounding the valley, he attacked a small kingdom named Kirtipur. He thought it was an easy win but he lost against kirtipur twice. After a lot of hard work he won in his third attempt. After kirtipur had fallen, kathmandu was the weakest. So he tried to capture Kathmandu and he won! After Kathmandu lost Kathmandu's king Jaya Prakash Malla ran to the kingdom of Lalitpur. After he found out about that he attacked Lalitpur. He won against Lalitpur too! After that Kathmandu's king Jaya Prakash Malla and Lalitpur's king

Tej Narasingh Malla ran to the Kingdom of Bhaktapur. After that Gorkha also attacked Bhaktapur and won! With no way to run the kings surrendered and that's how king Prithvi Narayan Shah formed Nepal.
