Hi, this is Thyra Arden, and today I am writing this article to express my feelings to anyone reading it. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, I got a great opportunity when I was thirteen but did not explain the whole thing properly. I always used to be a grumpy and spoiled child. I used to listen to nobody. Even though I was just thirteen, I had a mind of my own. Nobody, absolutely nobody, could shape me into whatever personality they wanted me to become. I was stubborn, but I was proud of myself. I mean, I was just thirteen. I thought that being this type of person would make my parents proud, but instead, they got worried and put me into "behaviour therapy," which is basically a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.Whenever it was Sunday, I got really worried because my therapy was on Sunday. Everything was great about the therapy. The atmosphere was perfect, the waiting list was not too long since my parents booked VIPs because they were not the most patience souls themselves, and the treatment you get is just stunning. There was only one problem, though: the therapist, ‘Mrs. Revanche Toussaint’. She was a French woman, and you know what her name meant in French? The name ‘Revanche’ means revenge in French.Mrs. Revanche Toussaint had the most stunning face, a beautiful French accent, and perfect manners; the only problem with her was that her personality was, in simple words, atrocious and of very poor quality. Mrs. Revanche Toussaint succeeded in achieving every milestone in her family business, so she decided to take on therapy since she was getting tired of her family business (which ran for nine generations). Mrs. Revanche Toussaint was a very strict woman, and I have noticed in the past five Sundays that she was extremely strict towards me. She thought of me more as a patient who sought medical help than a normal person who just came for therapy. Her personality just made me sick to my stomach. She acted very tough, even when I saw her outside of therapy living her life like there was no tomorrow, and let me tell you, I did not like it one bit.After my last therapy session, I was sent to give a speech on the day of my fourteenth birthday. I thought, "How can my parents ruin my special day just like that?" I was supposed to give a speech in front of thousands of people, including VIPs. My parents were really challenging my abilities, and I needed no more encouragement to realise that they were getting on my nerves. I was boiling with anger. I was so angry that I said whatever came to mind. I even said some rude things to some of the VIPs, and let me tell you, they did not like it. But, after that merciless speech, I ran away into one of the backrooms of the hall. There were two men banging on the door, calling my name, "Miss Thyra Arden, we are begging you to please come out," but I was strong, I was afraid of nobody, and I had a brave personality that no one could replace. So, as you all thought, I did not open the door. Some VIPs, including my parents, came over, requesting me in the most polite way, but I did not open the door.After ten minutes, I came out. I had expected everyone to go, but no one left. I was left stunned. As soon as I came out, everyone started wishing me "Happy Birthday, Miss Thyra Arden". Instead of being happy, I called my driver to come pick me up. After I left, I went straight home.I am now eighteen, and I still regret my behaviour in the past. I am still as stubborn as ever, but one thing has changed about me: I am now a better person—well, at least I think I am.
