The internet was a remarkable innovation for humanity, it changed the way humans live. It does not mean that the internet caused life before it to be in every way worse; it was different, more dependent on older methods of communication and receiving information. Before the internet humans used letters, telephone, newspapers or met in person for communication. It was slower because one would have to write and wait for a reply. It was also easier to spread misinformation because it was done manually.

Now it is easier and faster to send a message, an email, pictures, and videos. Also before the internet people received information from books, newspapers, personal experience or their teachers. For example a student had to go to the library and find books for his homework, now one can find information on the internet, watch lectures and attend class. The internet also revolutionized how people are shopping and banking. Before people went to stores and bought things, now people can order online. They also have to go to banks for their financial needs, now people can handle them from home. Also the internet made it easier to keep in touch with people. Now people can chat with their family, work together online and not have to write letters and wait for a response.

Life before the internet was slower, people spent time with their family and friends, played games, read books and had time for social activities. Now people spend time with technology and have less time to be social. Also even though it is easier to contact people away it can not replace being face to face. Also even though the internet provides plenty of information not all of it is accurate. Life before the internet was slower; it relied on meetings and old methods of getting information. It still had its advantages like more family and friend time. Life after the internet is much faster; technology helps humans communicate and receive information. Some things are harder now like keeping real relationships and discerning the difference between online and real life friends. Overall the internet changed the way humans live and made their lives different today.
