Jelly fish
Jelly fish are marine animals which live in shallow coastal seas or oceans. A few species live under 12,000 meters underwater. There are more than 2,000 species of jelly fish. The largest jelly fish is called the lion's mane which is over 3 feet tall. The smallest jelly fish is the box jelly fish or the Irukandji box jelly fish. These are not bigger than 1-2cm .Jelly fish are not fish even though they have the word fish in their name , they are classified into a group that includes coral and sea plants also called cnidarians. Jelly fish are not fish since they don't have bones, brains or a heart ,they are made of 95% to 98% cent water and the jelly-like substance is made of a chemical or substance named mesoglea. Jelly fishes have been around for 500 million years. Jelly fishes have 4 main parts but 9 parts in total. The 4 main parts are the bell, rhopalia, manubrium, and tentacles. The bell is the top hood of a jelly fish which is used for locomotion , the ropalia is used to modulate jellyfish’s pulse, manubrium helps in digestion and the tentacles help jellyfish sting their prey. The box jellyfish has the most painful sting in the world, often tiny needle-like objects pierce the skin making the sting very painful. The jellyfish often has 4 to 8 tentacles but a few specific species have over 1000 .Some of the jellyfishes have eyes or can glow in the dark. A group of jellyfish is called a smack. Salmon are known as the jelly fish's natural enemies. Jellyfish can be found all over the world and over 150 million people have been stung by a jellyfish every year . The most common jellyfish is the moon jellyfish. A diet of jellyfish mostly includes fishes and sea plants.
