Characters: The main character of the book is Gregory, known as Greg, with his big brother Rodrick, small brother Manny, and Greg’s best friend Rowley. Other side characters include Greg’s mom and dad, Mr. Litch (Greg’s football coach), Holly Hills (Greg’s crush), and Greg’s crazy friends.

Plot:

It was January 1st, a new year, a new week, and a new day for Gregory. Every year, Greg would come up with a new year’s resolution. But this year, it was different. Greg didn’t make any resolutions because he thought he was one of the “best people.” So, this year, he decided to help others with their resolutions.

But that plan didn’t go well. His mom got really irritated that she said, “No one can be as perfect as you!” And Greg thought it made sense. Greg also made 3 new resolutions, and if Rodrick broke all three, there would be consequences. But Rodrick broke all three before Greg could explain. Greg and Rowley (his best friend) also had a resolution.

Recommendation:

This book is really interesting and fun.It teaches us how to manage our time, be attentive, and be good students. It tells us not to be a bad student, or we will end up like Greg. This book is fun to read and also teaches us a valuable lesson. So, I would rate it 9.5/10.
