Albert Einstein is one of the most brilliant people and scientists in history. And there were many signs of his genius from the earliest days of his life. Albert was born into a family that already had its fair share of smart people.

Albert Einstein was a really big and smart scientist from the start. He was born on March 14, 1879, in the southern German town of Ulm. His father's name is Hermann Einstein, who was excellent in mathematics. And his mother's name is Pauline Einstein, who had a gift for the arts, especially in music. Albert rarely spoke in the first few years, which was strange, but as he started to talk, he had a strange habit of speaking his sentences very softly over and over again. But, at the age of 5, he became ill. And on his birthday, he got a compass as his gift from his father. Young Albert was utterly fascinated by the gift. He was shocked by how the compass was reacting to an invisible force rather than touching objects. It wasn’t enough that he was fascinated, but he also wanted to know how and why it happened. He also thought in an unusual way. He would always think about science and spend his free time thinking. When he got a little older, he went to a German city called Munich, and he was the only Jewish boy in his new school. But, after 2 to 3 years, there was a surprise! His little sister, Maria, was born. Her nickname was Maja.

When Albert attended school, he was nervous, but didn’t give up. He joined a school called Petersschule, a school which was known for its high academic standards. And the school fitted him perfectly. He turned out to be an excellent student. He got higher marks than anyone else. When he got older, he attended another school called Luitpold Gymnasium. His favorite classes were those involving mathematics and science. He spends a lot of time studying and knowing more about math and science.

Then again, Albert joins another school called the Swiss Federal Polytechnic. And he needed to be 18 to join the school, but he was only 17. Because of his brilliant mind, the school accepted him anyway. But sadly, after some months, Albert gave up his German citizenship with his parent's approval. And he became a Swiss citizen in 1901, and he was stateless for nearly 5 years. When he was studying in Gymnasium, he didn’t like the way the school taught. But instead, Albert studied all by himself and he knew way more than his teachers.

Albert's childhood passed by playing the violin and piano with his mother. He enjoyed thinking about science and was smart from the start.
