The sun, the moon, and the earth are part of the solar system. The solar system is made up of the sun and its planets. Earth is one of the planets and the moon is the satellite of the earth. Sun is a big ball of gas. The sun is 93 million miles far away from the earth. But the light from the sun reaches the earth in 8 minutes. The Earth revolves around the sun because the sun's gravity is pulling the earth. The earth takes 365 days to go around the sun. And the moon takes 27 days to revolve around the earth. Neil Armstrong was the first person to step on the moon.
