Kindness and Hope After the Rasuwa Flood
Kindness and Hope After the Rasuwa Flood
Nepal is a beautiful country with many mountains and rivers. Recently, on August 26, 2026, a devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River area of Rasuwa caused great damage. Many homes, roads, bridges, schools, and other buildings were damaged and destroyed. Many people lost their lives, and many families are still searching for their loved ones. The flood was especially difficult for children. Some children lost their homes, schools, books, clothes, and even family members. Many children now have to stay in temporary shelters. They may feel scared, sad, and worried about what will happen next. We should give special care to small children. We can help provide them with safe places to stay, nutritious food, clean water, medicines, and school supplies. We can also give them toys, storybooks, and time to play so that they can feel safe and happy again. As students, we may be young, but we can still make a difference. We can collect books, stationery, and warm clothes with the help of our parents and teachers. We can also make drawings or cards with messages of love and hope for children affected by the flood. The Rasuwa flood reminds us that we should help each other during difficult times. If we work together and show kindness, we can help affected families rebuild their lives.
