Dashain is the biggest festival in Nepal. It falls in the month of Asoj or Kartik. We worship goddess Durga in Dashain. The first day of Dashain is called Ghatasthapana. On the first day we put seed of rice or barley to grow jamara. The tenth day of Dashain is called Vijaya Dashami. On this day, we take out the jamara. We put tika on our forehead and jamara in our ear received from the elders. We also get blessings from them.
