What is the book about? This book follows Julian, Dick, and Anne as they spend their holidays with their cousin George and her dog, Timmy. While exploring Kirrin Island, they make a thrilling discovery, leading them deep into the dungeons of Kirrin Castle. What secrets will they uncover there?
Characters:

Settings:
Kirrin Bay, London
Plot: Anne, Dick, and Julian had planned to go to Scotland for their summer vacation, but their parents decided otherwise, sending them to their uncle's (their father’s brother) house to meet their uncle, aunt, and mysterious cousin. After arriving, their parents informed them they would stay for only one night and then leave for another destination. The children weren’t happy with the idea of being left alone at their uncle's house.
When they arrived, they were greeted by a tall man with furrowed eyebrows and an emotionless expression, which frightened and surprised them. However, their mood lifted when their aunt called their cousin. But instead of a warm greeting, Georgina, who preferred to live as a boy and insisted on being called George, ignored their greetings.
Though it was an awkward start, George eventually warmed up to them and introduced her dog, Timothy. She showed them around the island and explained that her parents disliked Timothy, believing he would disturb her father’s important work.
During a trip to the island, George showed Anne, Dick, and Julian her great-great-great-grandfather’s old ship. While exploring the ruins of the castle, they were caught in a dangerous storm, making it unsafe to return home. They took shelter on the island, and, miraculously, the storm’s waves restored the sunken ship to an upright position. Fascinated, they returned home to avoid worrying their guardians. In the following days, the group revisited the wreck and made a remarkable discovery in the captain’s cabin.
Critical Analysis: I really enjoyed the book’s quality. There is nothing negative I would like to mention.

Rating: I would rate this book 8.5 out of 10.
