Your Lost Soul
Death comes
And death goes
But what it leaves behind
No one seems to know
Pain, agony, fear, control
Burst of emotions with no home
Families break
Sadness turns into anger
The stone in the family
Suddenly falters
Grief will last longer than two decades
Blaming continues till there's nothing to live for
First ones to crumble
Will be your family
They’ll blame you, then themselves later
The guilt will creep in like no other
Your mother will cry
While your father begins to fall down
The second ones will be the people you truly love
Your found family
Your friends and lover
They will shake the world
Won’t believe what has happened
They will be in denial
But then, the guilt will creep in
“What if it’d been me, not you?”
Is the question that will linger
Your death will affect more than it can send
The last ones will be your past
People you grew apart from
But never forgot
They will listen and spread the story of the past
Their long-term grief,
Will last
It will leave slowly, but you will always be in their hearts
In the far corner where all the pain seems to last
Death comes, and it goes
Yet what it brings, you’ll never know.
