Our Family Trip
We woke up at 5:00 a.m. to travel to Pokhara. There were 10 people in our group. Our van arrived, and we got in and started our journey. We played songs and games along the way. After some time, we reached our first stop, a restaurant where we had breakfast then continued our trip.
After a few hours, we reached Bandipur. There, we saw Newar cultural houses, dances, and food. We noticed that old Newar houses, including the windows, were made mostly of wood. The dances were amazing. After lunch, we headed toward Pokhara.
In Pokhara, we stayed at Hotel Barahi. After checking in and settling into our room, we explored Lakeside and the night market. We had dinner at a restaurant and then returned to the hotel to sleep.
The next day, we visited Pumdikot Shiva Statue, where we saw a large statue of Lord Shiva. After that, we went to the World Peace Pagoda. Later, we traveled toward Ghandruk. On the way, we stopped at Naudanda for lunch.
When we reached Ghandruk, we climbed stairs for about an hour. Later, we found out that our booked hotel was still 30 minutes away, so we decided not to go there. Instead, we stayed at Milhan Hotel.
The next morning, we woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains, including Machapuchare, Annapurna, and Gangapurna. We walked to a viewpoint where we could see the mountains even more clearly. After that, we got back in the van and returned to Pokhara, stopping again at Naudanda for lunch.
Back in Pokhara, we visited Bindhyabasini Temple and Begnas Lake, where we spent some time walking around. For dinner, we went to Trisara Restaurant. Afterward, we returned to the hotel and rested.
The following day, we went to Sarangkot and rode two cable cars to the top. There, we visited a five-faced Gadesh Temple and climbed a view tower to see the mountains again. After coming back down, we went boating on Phewa Lake. We stopped at Tal Barahi Temple and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings before returning to the hotel for dinner.
The next day, after breakfast, we headed back to Kathmandu. It was a wonderful trip, and we had a lot of fun.
