My experience of visiting Lumbini Temple

It all started early in the morning when my family and I were resting at my uncle’s house in Butwal. At 6:00 a.m., we began our journey to the Lumbini Temple. The road was empty, so my father drove at a speed of 95 km/hr for about 25 minutes. After some time, we reached Lumbini.

Everyone was hungry, so we ate some aloo paratha. The main area of Lumbini was blocked, so we parked our car on the side of the road and hired a tempo (guide). He showed us many places. The first place we visited was the Never-Ending Fire. There was a massive crowd, but we still managed to see it and take some pictures.

After that, we went to the Lumbini Temple. We prayed to God (Buddha) and saw his footsteps. That is the place where Buddha was born. Later, we visited an area where different countries had built their own structures, such as Germany, India, France, China, Korea, Switzerland, and Nepal. We first visited Nepal’s structure, which was none other than the Buddha Temple. Later, we found out that all the structures were related to Buddhism.

We visited all the other places, and I felt that Switzerland’s structure was the best. After that, we ate some ice creams and headed back to where our car was parked. I recommend everyone to visit the Lumbini Temple because the structures show great hard work and creativity.
