Hiking : Pharping to Bhundole
Hiking : Pharping to Bhundole
On Falgun 8th, our school took us hiking to Bhundole. Our school decided that instead of letting us suffer in peace, they would take us hiking. Was it a brilliant experience? Absolutely. Was it also the greatest test of human endurance since the invention of homework? Without a doubt. The night before the hike I was so excited I nearly collapsed from over-enthusiasm. I think I emptied the air in my lungs saying how excited I was. I had bought all the food a day before, arranged them, stared at them, and then stared at the ceiling wondering why sleep was taking so long, but thinking that I had to wake up in time tomorrow morning made me fall asleep very easily.
The next morning I woke up, put on my cap, my bag and marched out the door like I was going to conquer Everest. Sauravi, Aava and I united like the three most chaotic forces of nature, and promptly turned the school bus into a concert hall. We walked for three heroic hours and finally reached our picnic spot. We all took out our dishes, there were a lot of varieties, almost like it was a competition. We ate and laughed together .Then a dog casually walked up and stole some poor boy's sandwich with zero remorse. Absolute legend. It was enjoyable. We were playing tag like our lives depended on it. And as for the bathroom situation; let's just say the jungle was very accommodating that day. No further questions…
Our legs had not only filed official complaints, they had hired lawyers. It was a tiring hike and we walked all the way back. We were so tired that we all were knocked out cold before the engine of the bus even started. I got home, collapsed, and didn't fully return to consciousness until Saturday morning, all refreshed and restored.
