Burning Bullet
She was 5 when she heard the gunshots at her door
Inside a cupboard, she curled on the floor
Covered her ears as she shut her eyes
The army came in, shattering her night
She heard the slam at the door
She trembled in silence, wanting no more
She saw her mom being dragged away
She closed her eyes, yet it won't go away
She's attending the cremation of her own
Where the fire burns and she’s all alone
She screams so loud
Yet her mouth won't make a sound.
She is a dead soul with no light
Wandering in the graveyard in the night
Kneeling before her father’s stone
Begging him to take her along
She cried aloud and fell apart
Drenched in tears that's flown from her heart
She curled back to the cupboard where her life is
She closed her eyes for her pain to ease
She hears them coming, the floor creaks
Her heart sinks!
They opened the door and found her lying
Still and silent where no one’s crying
She’s lying, lying unconscious as she freed herself from fear
She’s smiling softly through her tears
Now she is happy cause she can meet her dear
She is happy cause she can meet her dear
