Extinction of Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs were giant animals that lived on Earth millions of years ago. Some dinosaurs were very big and powerful, while some were small and fast. Popular dinosaurs like the T-Rex, Spinosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Coelophysis and Brachiosaurus are still famous around the world today. The T-Rex had sharp teeth and was one of the strongest meat-eating dinosaurs. Brachiosaurus was very tall and ate leaves from high trees. Coelophysis was small and fast, and its size was similar to a dog, making it one of the earliest dinosaurs on Earth. Dinosaurs lived in forests, near rivers, and in many different places on Earth. But today, dinosaurs are extinct, which means they no longer exist on Earth. Scientists believe that a huge asteroid hit the Earth many years ago. After the asteroid hit, dust and smoke covered the sky, and sunlight could not reach the Earth properly. Plants started to die, and many animals could not find enough food and water to survive. Because of this, all the dinosaurs slowly disappeared. Even though dinosaurs are extinct, we can still learn about them from fossils and bones found by scientists. I think dinosaurs are very interesting because they were so different from the animals we see today.
