Scattered
Scattered
Can I stay rooted?
When everything insists on becoming wind,
When what I’ve buried
Flowers through cracks
Will I remember how to root myself?
Or, will I remain a dandelion?
Unthreading at the slightest wind,
Leaving when the earth feels heavy
Trusting the sky
More than my own roots.
Maybe I’ll land
Where I was always meant to bloom
Maybe healing
Has never been about become “whole”
But about finding the courage
To stay.
