It was the day of 6th April 2025 on Sunday. Me, my sister, my mom and my dad decided to go to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. As per my dad, this is one of the historical creations in our country listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site that attracts many local and international tourists.

We were very excited to visit this place since we had never been there before. We went there on a public bus because my parents wanted us to experience how it feels to be in a public bus. We also thought we could experience the difference if we travel by bus. Hence we planned to take a public bus even though we had our personal car. The bus was extremely congested and we barely made it through to get a bus from Lokhanthali to Sallaghari. After travelling we finally took our first step inside the gate of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

There were lots of shops showing Nepalese culture that we couldn't imagine. Tourists often buy some goods from these shops as a memory of Nepal. The day was sunny and we craved ice-cream. There were a lot of temples and palaces. When we felt tired, we then decided to sit in one and eat our ice-cream enjoying the view. There were a lot of tourists who came to visit the area. Afterwards we clicked some photos. While doing that there was one tourist who drew a beautiful picture of the Durbar Square. The drawings, stone carving and other beautiful temples were attractive. We also could observe “55 Window Palace” which was the main building built over there. We also visited a five story temple. I was stunned and called my sister to look at it.

After we visited the site we were dying from hunger so we decided to eat some food. Then we went to a restaurant and ate some mo:mo and sausage. We saw the local people celebrating the Local festival going on where they were playing with drums and madal. It was almost evening time and then we decided to return back to our home. On the way to our home we tried a new man made food named banana chips made locally and we found it very tasty. After that me and my sister ate another kulfi. It had such a brilliant taste that I can still remember how it tasted.

We then visited a pokhari named Siddha Pokhari which was on the nearby main road with rectangle shape. Inside the Siddhi Pokhari there was a foot trail. Me and my sister did a big lap of the pokhari. After we visited Siddhi Pokhari we went to Rani Pokhari. In the Rani Pokhari, we fed the fishes and it was really fun. Then we walked and walked, then my legs started hurting, then we walked again, then we took a bus and we reached our home in the late evening.
