My Version of “The Lost Button”
My Version of “The Lost Button”
One bright morning, Pretty the Mouse woke up feeling very happy. It was the day of her school picnic. She quickly got dressed and wore her favorite blue jacket with sparkling buttons. But suddenly, she stopped.
“Oh no! One of my buttons is gone!” she cried.
“I can’t go like this,” she said with a worried face.
Pretty started searching everywhere. She checked her bed and opened her toy box, but the button was nowhere to be found. Just then, her friend Canu the Turtle walked in.
“Why do you look upset?” Canu asked.
“I lost my button,” Pretty said softly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you find it,” said Canu.
They both searched around the house. They looked behind the cookie jar in the kitchen and even under the couch, but they still couldn’t find it.
After a while, they heard a soft chirping sound. It was Moina the Bird sitting nearby.
“Is this what you are looking for?” Moina asked, holding a small shiny button in her beak.
“Yes, that’s mine!” Pretty said excitedly. “Where did you get it?”
“It rolled into my nest when I was flying past your window,” Moina replied.
Pretty felt very happy. “Thank you so much!” she said.
Canu carefully stitched the button back onto Pretty’s jacket. Soon, she was ready for the picnic again.
At the picnic, Pretty played, laughed, and had a wonderful time with her friends.
That day, Pretty realized that with the help of good friends, even a small problem can turn into a fun adventure.
