Tibet Nepal Flood, 2026
On August 26, 2026, a big flood hit Nepal China border area originating near Kerung of China causing damage along a 72 km stretch of the Trishuil river in Nepal.The flood caused huge loss of lives widespread displacement and extensive damage to houses, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities, etc. The disaster was triggered by a huge glacier collapse and landslide. It has been caused by climate change and global warming according to the experts. Following the glacier collapse an earthquake of 5.2 Richter scale hit the area.
The major impacts of the 2026 Nepal flood are as follows:
● Very high loss of life(at least 1300+ people died and 5130 people missing)
● Hydropower destruction
● Damage to houses and roads
● Damage to tourism
● Economic loss
● Environmental destruction
● Climate change warning
Different organizations, such as the Nepal government, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and foreign countries have been doing search and rescue, emergency medical assistance, evacuation, etc. Let's hope that things get better and all the people get back to normal life as soon as possible. Let the people of the world understand that we should act responsibly to protect the planet and people in the future.
