The Chair That's Empty Now

You Screamed OoW!

In pain

Laying on the hospital bed

Stay with us I begged

You used to sit on a rocking chair

And the wind blowing your long curly hair.

I look at the twinkling stars in gloomy nights,

Out of reach but forever in my sight.

Whenever I sing your favourite song, I hear your echo all along.

The fun times and the memories we shared.

Recalling me everywhere

The only object around me is the (ceiling fan)2 where I stare.

Your personal grey box- tiny box is in rust,

Your stuff is filled with dust.

Your smooth long hands were so tender.

(Those hands) that made your cooking splendor.

Your cooking deserved a chef's kiss

Oh! The paneer, rajma, and other varieties I miss.

Always used to fight with my cousins for the last piece

Not gonna lie those foods would bring peace

I look in the mirror and see your face

But there's nothing more than your memories that I can’t erase.

In my highs and lows you were always there

And still your warmth lingers in the air.

I sit on your Soft rocking chair,

and feel like you are there

Petting me on my head

and I am sorry for leaving you said. .

Still missing your beautiful smile

You looked like a flower blooming

Your photos are in my laptop’s file

Tears fall down like mountains turning into rivers.

With big frowns.

Again and Again I see your appearance in my dreams

And then I pour tears: like, water flowing in streams.

These all should be a dream I wish

I wish you’re back, that's what I insist.

I cry for days and nights with puffy eyes

Always used to tell my cousins

You’re mine

You gave me money when ever I insist

Yo gave me lots of sweets and told me a lots of stories that I couldn't resist

Tears still fall down

Your wore love like a crown

Your eyes warm brown

You used to always Persuade me

Now it's just the memories I see
