Fear
I wake up every day, and feel as if I’m already late.
A clock on the wall that won’t change its fate.
My body is aching, so is my life.
I search for light in this world of fright.
I smile when I’m expected, nod when I should.
I say that I am fine because the word ‘Fine’ sounds good.
The hidden truth behind fear cannot be expressed in words.
And my inner voice can never be heard.
I suffer from my own unexpressed feelings throughout the day,
And stumble through anger, losing hope on the way.
But I need to move ahead creating my own history.
Writing the pages of my untold life story.
