Past vs Present

When you sit with your grandparents, you might feel a sudden urge to ask about their past. Listening to their stories takes you to a completely different world. A few decades ago, staying in touch and communicating with others was exhausting and difficult. They had to hand letters to postmen and wait forever to receive a response. Today, we can send videos and pictures and even see each other through a screen no matter where we are.

Entertainment has also completely changed compared to the past. Years ago, young people listened to radios that were mostly glitchy or waited weeks or months to catch their favorite shows on TV. Now, apps like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook allow us to watch videos instantly while keeping us updated on world events.

Transportation was much harder some years ago. They used to ride bikes or walk long distances to school, whereas today, cars and buses dominate and it is rare to see students cycling. Household chores have undergone a similar shift. Instead of manually sweeping floors, this generation relies on vacuums and smart appliances that make daily tasks significantly faster and easier.

Shopping and discovering new fashion trends have transformed as well. Finding the latest styles once meant visiting local malls or waiting endless weeks for a couple of items to arrive by mail. Today, people can scroll through social media, buy clothes from across the globe with a few clicks and often receive their packages the very next day.

Even with changing technology, teenagers haven't changed much. They still care most about spending time with the people they love.
