My country, Nepal, is my motherland. Nepal is a landlocked country. Nepal is known for 8 of the ten world's highest mountain peaks. Nepal has three regions: Himalaya, Terai and Hilly regions. It is a small country in Asia located between India and China. The capital city of Nepal is Kathmandu. Nepal is a country of Mount Everest and birthplace of Gautam Buddha. There are many historical places and different kinds of religions and castes. Also, the people of Nepal speak different languages, wear different kinds of clothes and eat different varieties of food.
Nepal is a colourful country; people celebrate different kinds of festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Holi, different kinds of Jatras, Chhath etc. Also, Dashain is the main festival of Nepalese people. There are 29 million people in Nepal. Sanskrit is the oldest language of Nepalese people. Nepal is one of the richest countries in water resources and diverse cultural lifestyle, feast, festivals. All the people are living in peace and harmony, respecting each other and accepting their co-existence. Nepal is a multilingual, multicultural and multi religious country. The followers of one religion respect the followers of another religion.
Though Nepal is a developing country, there is a great potential for hydro electricity generation, tourist trade development and industrialization. Nepal can soon come a long way and become one of the prosperous countries in the world.
